Hedera contributes its entire codebase to the Linux Foundation as the open-source project Hiero

Hedera/Hedera network

Hedera handed all of its source code, including the hashgraph consensus algorithm and every core service and library, to LF Decentralized Trust, where it became the Hiero project. The Linux Foundation now governs the code, while the Hedera Council keeps running the live network.

• Contribution covers the consensus algorithm, network services, SDKs and tools.
• Hedera became a founding Premier Member of LF Decentralized Trust.
• Code governance moves to the foundation; network operations stay with the Hedera Council.
