FedEx joins the Hedera Council and will run a network node
FedEx became a member of the Hedera Council, the body of large organisations that governs the network. It will operate a node and hold an equal vote, and says it wants shared, verifiable data to cut friction in cross-border shipping.
- FedEx will run a Hedera node with voting rights equal to Google, IBM and other members.
- Stated goal: trusted data sharing across the many parties in a global shipment.
- Announced by FedEx chief digital officer Vishal Talwar and council president Tom Sylvester.
