Tesla shows its first walking Optimus prototype at AI Day 2022

A year after showing only a costumed dancer, Tesla walked a rough development robot on stage untethered at AI Day 2022 and showed a second, sleeker Optimus model. The design weighed about 160 pounds with a 2.3 kWh battery meant to last a work day; Musk said a production version might cost around $20,000.
