Synchron unveils Chiral, an AI model trained on brain data, built with NVIDIA's Holoscan platform

SynchronStentrode BCI

At NVIDIA GTC 2025, Synchron announced Chiral, a foundation model trained on human neural data to enable cognitive artificial intelligence. Running on NVIDIA's Holoscan platform, the system was demonstrated controlling Apple Vision Pro with an ALS patient using thought alone, advancing the interface from supervised to self-supervised learning.

  • Chiral is a foundation model of human cognition marking the emergence of cognitive AI trained directly on neural activity rather than supervised labels.
  • Demonstration at GTC 2025 showed BCI-enabled user controlling Vision Pro, playing Solitaire, watching video and sending text by thought.
  • Three key collaboration milestones: motor inference via Holoscan, context-aware interaction using NVIDIA Cosmos, and Chiral model training; enables real-time neural decoding with minimal latency.
