Synchron shows the first thought-controlled iPad using Apple's new brain-computer interface input protocol

Synchron released a video of a COMMAND trial participant with ALS navigating an iPad, opening apps and writing text by thought, using Apple's Switch Control and its new Brain-Computer Interface Human Interface Device protocol released in May 2025. This enabled Apple operating systems to accept brain signals as native input.
