Polskie Elektrownie JądroweLubiatowo-Kopalino nuclear plant
The European Commission cleared Poland's support package for the three-reactor plant after a formal review opened in Dec 2024. In return, most of the output must be sold on open markets.
- Total investment cost put at about EUR 42B; equity covers roughly 30%.
- Price contract cut from the proposed 60 years to 40.
- 70% of annual output must be sold on power exchanges, the rest through open auctions.
- PEJ is fully owned by Poland's State Treasury.
