The brief
- Five satellites launched to geostationary orbit; says 10+ more are on contract and over $1B of satellite services sold.
- Raised a $300M Series E at a $2.8B valuation in May 2026, plus a $155M credit line; $1.2B+ raised in total.
- Next five-satellite launch slipped to March 2027 after a flaw in a power component shared by all five craft.
Technical approach
Small satellites, high orbit
A MicroGEO weighs about 400 kg, around a twentieth of a classic GEO satellite, so several share one rocket and each serves one customer.
Software-defined payload
A custom radio can retune frequency and power in orbit across Ku, Ka and Q/V bands, so one design serves different customers and missions.
Built in batches
Satellites are built in blocks at its San Francisco plant and launched together on one Falcon 9, which cuts cost per satellite.
