Falcon 9 launches four Astranis MicroGEO satellites at once for the Philippines, Mexico and Anuvu

AstranisMicroGEO

A single Falcon 9 carried four Astranis MicroGEO satellites to a transfer orbit from Cape Canaveral, after a pad abort a week earlier. It was the company's first batch launch, the model it plans to use for every block.

  • Agila serves remote Philippine islands with Orbits Corp; NuView Alpha and Bravo serve aviation and maritime users for Anuvu.
  • UtilitySat can be moved and re-tasked in orbit; it serves Apco Networks in Mexico.
  • Each satellite is about washing-machine size, built for 8 to 10 years of service.
