Astranis
Small dedicated GEO broadband satellites
Astranis builds small geostationary satellites, about 400 kg each, that give one country or operator its own dedicated broadband capacity. It builds them at Pier 70 in San Francisco, has launched five, and holds US Space Force contracts.
- Five satellites launched to geostationary orbit; says 10+ more are on contract and over $1B of satellite services sold.
- Raised a $300M Series E at a $2.8B valuation in May 2026, plus a $155M credit line; $1.2B+ raised in total.
- Next five-satellite launch slipped to March 2027 after a flaw in a power component shared by all five craft.
