Zoox extends paid robotaxi service to Las Vegas' Harry Reid airport

ZooxZoox robotaxi

Zoox began serving Harry Reid International Airport on 3 September, picking up and dropping off near baggage claim at both terminals. That is closer than the Uber and Lyft pickup zones, a five- to ten-minute walk away, and Zoox is the only robotaxi operator serving the airport so far.

  • It follows the start of paid Zoox rides in Las Vegas on 10 August.
  • Zoox operates under a two-year federal exemption from eight safety standards, capped at 2,500 vehicles a year.
  • Next: testing in San Diego and Houston. Permits held by Tesla, Uber and Waymo would allow up to 8,000 robotaxis in Clark County over the next 12 months.
