Tesla's Powershare home backup, previously offered only on the Cybertruck, now works with the Model 3 and Model Y. The car's battery can power a house during a grid outage. Tesla guarantees the feature for new US and Puerto Rico cars ordered from October 1, 2026; other markets and older cars are not guaranteed.
