TerraPower selects Kemmerer, Wyoming for the first Natrium plant

TerraPower selected a site near PacifiCorp's retiring Naughton coal plant in Kemmerer, Wyoming for its Natrium demonstration reactor, a sodium-cooled fast reactor paired with molten salt energy storage. The project is cost-shared by the DOE's Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program and represents Wyoming's first commercial nuclear plant.
