Sila's Moses Lake plant earns ISO 9001:2015 quality certification

Sila NanotechnologiesTitan Silicon and Moses Lake

Sila's anode plant in Moses Lake, Washington earned ISO 9001:2015 certification, the international standard for quality management systems. Large battery and car makers generally require it of suppliers, so it is a step toward selling Titan Silicon anode material in volume from the plant. Sila is now working toward IATF 16949, the stricter automotive-specific quality standard.

  • ISO 9001 certifies the processes for consistent quality (documentation, controls, corrective action), not the performance of the product itself.
  • Sila says its smaller Alameda, California line has delivered Titan Silicon yields above 95% over more than seven years.
  • Target markets include electric vehicles, drones, satellites, robotics and defence; many of these customers need supply chains that meet US NDAA rules on Chinese content.
