Render community approves RNP-019, creating a separate network for AI and general compute
Render Network FoundationRender Network and Dispersed
RNP-019, finalised on 30 April 2025 after an amended second vote, set up the Render Compute Network beside the rendering nodes, with its own token rewards for operators running AI inference and other compute. Nodes need approved GPUs, enough bandwidth and must pass regular proof-of-compute checks; it starts with about 100 nodes and grows with demand.
- About 8,500 RENDER a month budgeted for an initial ~100 nodes; the Foundation may raise rewards up to 3x during trials.
- Availability reward of 2 RENDER per node per epoch, plus job rewards scaled by hardware.
- Minimum 100 Mbps download and 75 Mbps upload; Linux preferred for stability.
- Expands when utilisation stays above 80% or queues exceed 24 hours.
