QuantumScape ships first QSE-5 B-sample cells to automakers

QuantumScape began shipping low-volume B-sample cells of the QSE-5, its first planned commercial product, to carmakers for testing in late October 2024. The cells store over 800 Wh per litre and charge from 10% to 80% in under 15 minutes; QSE-5 is an anode-free lithium-metal solid-state cell. The next phase is C-samples tested in vehicles.
