PowerCo reports QuantumScape test cells passed 1,000+ charge cycles while keeping about 95% of capacity
VW's battery arm PowerCo reported that QuantumScape's 24-layer solid-state battery cell surpassed a critical benchmark by completing over 1,000 charge cycles while retaining 95% of its capacity, equivalent to over 500,000 km of driving in a typical EV. The cell also met fast-charging, safety, and self-discharge test requirements.
