Quantinuum launches the H2 trapped-ion quantum computer

QuantinuumHelios

Quantinuum launched System Model H2, its second-generation trapped-ion computer with 32 fully connected qubits at launch. The H2 created non-Abelian topological quantum matter and braided its anyons—a possible route to more robust qubits—and achieved a 32-qubit GHZ state, the largest on record, with a Quantum Volume of 65,536.

  • 32 fully-connected, high-fidelity qubits in racetrack-shaped ion trap; all-to-all qubit connectivity.
  • Created non-Abelian anyons and braided them—first topological-matter demonstration on H2.
  • 32-qubit GHZ state (global entanglement of all qubits) is largest on record.
  • Quantum Volume of 65,536 surpasses previous records; all-to-all connectivity enables conditional logic and mid-circuit measurement.
