Quantinuum launches Helios with 98 qubits and 99.921% two-qubit fidelity
Quantinuum commercially launched Helios, a 98-qubit trapped-ion system with 99.921% two-qubit gate fidelity available via cloud and on-premise. Launch customers include Amgen, BMW Group, JPMorgan and SoftBank. The company introduced Guppy, a Python language for hybrid quantum-classical programs, and moved error-correction decoding to NVIDIA hardware.
- Helios delivers up to 94 logical qubits with error detection; 48 logical qubits with error correction at 99.99% state preparation fidelity.
- Guppy enables seamless hybrid quantum-classical programming; real-time control engine allows interaction like conventional heterogeneous computers.
- Integration with NVIDIA GB200 processors via NVQLink for hybrid quantum-classical workloads.
