Neuralink starts VOICE, a feasibility study of its implant for restoring communication

VOICE is an early feasibility study of Neuralink's N1 implant and R1 surgical robot for restoring communication in adults with severe speech impairment and limited arm function from conditions including ALS, stroke, spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis. The study started on 3 October 2025 and plans to enrol about 6 participants in the US.
