James Peyer founds Cambrian Bio to build a pipeline of aging-targeted therapeutics companies
Cambrian BioPharma, led by CEO and co-founder James Peyer, came out of stealth with $60 million to develop medicines against the root causes of aging through a hub-and-spoke model of subsidiary companies. Its affiliate Sensei Biotherapeutics had just gone public, with Cambrian as its largest shareholder, raising $133 million at $600 million valuation.
