EigenDA cuts prices tenfold and adds a free tier ahead of paid usage

Eigen Labs cut EigenDA prices 10-fold for on-demand and reserved bandwidth and introduced a free tier of 1.28 KiB/s for approximately one year on mainnet. Payments and pricing take effect later in 2024, with most fees going to network operators and stakers, and a portion retained by Eigen Labs for infrastructure costs.

• Free tier: up to 1.28 KiB/s throughput for ~12 months on mainnet, testnet remains free with 3.1 KiB/s baseline.
• Price reduction applies to both on-demand and reserved bandwidth options.
• Revenue split: majority to operators and stakers, Eigen Labs covers infrastructure and Ethereum gas fees for certificates.
• Customers planning near-term launches advised to contact Eigen Labs during transition.
