CFS picks Chesterfield County, Virginia as the site of its first ARC fusion power plant

Commonwealth Fusion Systems said it will build its first ARC commercial fusion power plant at the James River Industrial Center in Chesterfield County, Virginia, aiming to deliver power to the grid in the early 2030s. The ~400 MW facility could power large industrial sites or about 150,000 homes; Dominion Energy Virginia owns the site and will provide technical expertise. CFS will independently finance, construct, own and operate the plant.
