The brief

Analyst view
  • Says it builds over 2,000 cruise-missile systems a year, with serial production in the Netherlands and parts made in Ukraine.
  • Rheinmetall and Destinus plan a missile joint venture in Germany (Rheinmetall 51%), announced April 2026.
  • Sought about EUR 200M before a planned Amsterdam listing, at a reported target value above EUR 5B.

Technical approach

As reported
Engines

Its own small jet engine

Destinus makes the T150 turbojet that powers Ruta in-house, so output is not capped by a supplier. It passed 1,000 engines built in June 2026.

Cost

Cheap enough to fire in numbers

Ruta is a drone built like a cruise missile: simpler and cheaper than classic missiles, so many can be launched at once to saturate air defences.

Launch

Missiles in shipping containers

Block 2 folds its wings into sealed canisters, four to a standard container, so trucks, ships or fixed sites can hide and launch them.
