Rheinmetall and Destinus agree to form a missile joint venture in Germany, with Rheinmetall holding 51%
Rheinmetall and Destinus plan a joint venture, Rheinmetall Destinus Strike Systems, based in Unterluss, Lower Saxony, to build and sell cruise missiles and ballistic rocket artillery. Destinus brings the designs and its jet engines; Rheinmetall brings factory capacity and qualification for European armies.
- Ownership: Rheinmetall 51%, Destinus 49%; formation targeted for the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approval.
- Destinus says it already builds more than 2,000 cruise-missile systems a year, with systems in use in Ukraine.
