The brief
- Tianyan cloud offers six public quantum processors to users in 60 countries; over 4M tasks run and 50M+ visits.
- Tianyan-287, a 105-qubit chip of the Zuchongzhi 3.0 design, opened for commercial cloud use in Nov 2025.
- Added Tianyan-P2000, a light-based machine built on USTC's Jiuzhang 4.0 design, in June 2026.
Technical approach
Quantum chips as a web service
Users write circuits online or with the open-source Cqlib toolkit; the platform compiles them, queues them on a chip and returns results.
Chips from Hefei's quantum cluster
Superconducting chips come from QuantumCTek and the CAS quantum centre, the photonic one from Jiuzhang (Jinan); China Telecom runs the platform.
Quantum next to supercomputers
Since 2023 a classical computing cluster sends out circuits, collects results and processes them in between, so mixed quantum-classical algorithms run.
