China Telecom adds the 2,682-photon Tianyan-P2000 to its quantum cloud

Tianyan added a photonic machine, Tianyan-P2000, built by Jiuzhang (Jinan) Quantum Technology on USTC's Jiuzhang 4.0 design, so the cloud now offers both superconducting and light-based systems. It runs at room temperature and targets boson sampling benchmarks.

• 2,682 photons in a boson sampling setup
• Benchmark task in 29 microseconds; claimed classical time about 16 billion years
• Cloud now has six public processors, 4M+ tasks run and 50M+ visits from 60 countries
