X-energy says Energy Northwest is on track to file its Cascade construction permit application in the first half of 2027

On its second-quarter 2026 earnings call, X-energy said work with Energy Northwest was going to plan, with the construction permit application aimed at the first half of 2027. The company expects Cascade to be its second project online, after Dow's Long Mott plant in Texas, whose NRC permit decision it expects in the first quarter of 2027.
