Ultium Cells Spring Hill, Tennessee plant begins battery cell production

Ultium Cells shipped its first battery cells from the Spring Hill, Tennessee facility in March 2024. The plant supplies cells to the neighboring Spring Hill assembly plant where the Cadillac Lyriq is built. The facility supports 50 GWh annual capacity and later transitioned to low-cost LFP cell production.
