UCB completes its acquisition of Neurona Therapeutics
UCB closed the Neurona deal and now owns rezanecel. The company called it a strategic expansion into regenerative medicine and into treatments meant to change the course of disease rather than manage symptoms.
- Total value up to $1.15B: $650M upfront, up to $500M in milestones.
- Rezanecel remains in Phase 1/2 for drug-resistant mesial temporal lobe epilepsy.
- UCB kept its 2026 financial guidance unchanged.
