SPIC begins site levelling at Laiyang, planned for six Guohe One reactors

SPIC started full site levelling for the first two units at Laiyang, Shandong, a month after approval. With all six Guohe One units the plant would reach about 9.26 GW, making about 74 TWh a year and heating homes as well.

• Planned six units, about 9.26 GW in total, which would be China's largest nuclear plant by capacity.
• Expected output about 74 TWh a year.
• District heating for over 170 million square metres of floor space.
