Shell Energy agrees to buy 31 MW from Cape Station Phase I, the first offtaker to receive its power
Shell Energy North America signed a 15-year power purchase agreement for 31 MW of baseload geothermal power from Fervo's Cape Station in Utah, becoming the first customer to receive power starting 2026. The agreement enabled Fervo to expand Cape Station's planned capacity from 400 MW to 500 MW through improvements in well design and field optimization rather than additional drilling.
