KHNP submits APR1000 conceptual design for Dukovany; geological survey reveals 13 km of exploratory wells

As reported by the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade, KHNP submitted its initial design of the APR1000 in April 2026, tailored to Czech regulatory requirements and site-specific conditions. Extensive geological surveys were completed over the prior year, including drilling 13 kilometres of exploratory wells to assess the site's subsurface geology. All major Czech suppliers for the project were selected, including ČEZ Energetické projekty, Doosan Škoda Power and Energoprojekt Praha.
