Honeywell Quantum Solutions and Cambridge Quantum combine to form Quantinuum

Quantinuum

Honeywell Quantum Solutions, which built trapped-ion hardware, and Cambridge Quantum, a quantum software company, completed their combination as Quantinuum on November 30, 2021. Honeywell invested nearly $300 million and became the largest shareholder at ~54%. The merger created a full-stack quantum company with ~400 employees, 300 of them scientists.
