GUC and Ayar Labs partner to advance co-packaged optics for hyperscalers

Global Unichip Corp. and Ayar Labs partnered to integrate Ayar's TeraPHY optical engines into GUC's custom chip packaging. The design enables processor packages with over 100 Tbps of full-duplex optical bandwidth, more than an order of magnitude better than current electrical links, addressing the data bottleneck between AI chips.
