Ayar Labs and Wiwynn partner to bring co-packaged optics to rack-scale AI systems

Ayar Labs and Taiwanese server maker Wiwynn partnered on optically connected, liquid-cooled AI racks using Ayar's TeraPHY optical engines and SuperNova external lasers. The design scales to 1,024+ accelerators, each with over 100 Tbps of optical connectivity, and addresses fiber management, thermal management, and manufacturability for hyperscale deployment.

• Up to 1,024+ AI accelerators per system, each with 100+ Tbps optical bandwidth; 100% liquid-cooled architecture.
• Uses Ayar TeraPHY optics with SuperNova remote laser light sources (ELSFP) and HVDC power delivery.
• Eliminates traditional copper interconnect bottlenecks; thousands of accelerators operate as a unified system.
