Google merges DeepMind and Google Brain into Google DeepMind
Google combined its two AI research groups, the Brain team from Google Research and DeepMind, into a single unit called Google DeepMind, led by DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis. Jeff Dean moved to the role of Google's Chief Scientist.
