CarbonCure marks its entry into the UAE market

CarbonCure entered the UAE, with systems running or being installed at concrete plants in Abu Dhabi and Dubai for producers Emirates Beton and Tremix, supplied with CO2 by Gulf Cryo. Its technology injects captured CO2 into fresh concrete, where it turns into a mineral, letting producers use less cement; it cited 439,000 tonnes of CO2 saved worldwide.

• Systems deployed in Abu Dhabi (Emirates Beton, since 2022) and Dubai (Tremix, 2024); Gulf Cryo supplies captured CO2.
• CarbonCure technology injects CO2 into concrete where it mineralizes, enabling lower cement use at same strength and reducing embodied carbon.
• Global savings to date: 439,000 tonnes of CO2 across more than 6 million truckloads; equivalent to removing 104,000 gasoline-powered vehicles for one year.
