Base mainnet opens to the public

Coinbase opened its Base layer-2 mainnet to everyone in August 2023, after a testnet launch in February and a developer-only launch in July. More than 100 apps and service providers were live at launch, with transactions settled on Ethereum and deep integrations across Coinbase products.
