ASML reports Q3 2026 sales of €11.7 billion and net income of €5.0 billion

ASML

ASML's third-quarter sales rose to €11.7 billion (€11,662 million) from €9,326 million in the second quarter, with a gross margin of 57.5%. The company says demand depends mainly on customers' views of how large and how long AI-related investment will be, and that its planned supply for 2027 and 2028 will not fully meet customer demand.

  • Net income was €4,960 million (basic EPS €12.95); the company sold 113 new and 8 used lithography systems in the quarter.
  • Installed Base Management sales were €3.3 billion, above guidance; the release attributes the strong demand to customers' productivity upgrades.
  • Outlook: fourth-quarter 2026 net sales of €14.2–15.2 billion at a gross margin around 57%; full-year 2026 net sales of €44–45 billion.
  • Some customers want to order for 2029 and 2030; ASML is studying capacity for 2028 beyond the 30% increase it had already communicated.
  • About €4.1 billion of shares were bought back in Q3; an interim dividend of €1.88 per share is payable on November 4, 2026.
