Technical approach
One network from seeing to acting
Its WALL models turn camera images and spoken instructions straight into arm and hand motions in one network, instead of chaining separate modules.
Real-world robot data first
Models are trained mainly on recordings of real robots doing tasks, including in homes, mixed with public robot datasets and image-text data.
Own robots and hands
It builds Quanta wheeled dual-arm robots and five-fingered hands, so model and body can be tuned together and data collected at scale.
Open model for developers
WALL-OSS is released with weights and training code, so other labs can build on it and feed improvements back.
