The brief
- Over 80% of China's 2G superconducting tape market in 2022-2024; 2024 capacity 1,334 km.
- Revenue grew from ¥36M in 2022 to ¥240M in 2024, turning a ¥73M profit in 2024.
- Filed for a ¥1.2B STAR Market IPO in June 2025 to fund a new tape plant in Pudong.
Technical approach
Aligned crystal template on metal
A thin, aligned ceramic layer is grown on polished metal tape by ion-beam-assisted deposition, so the superconductor on top grows as one near-perfect crystal.
Fast laser deposition
A pulsed laser vaporises a rare-earth barium copper oxide (REBCO) target onto the moving tape. Its own heating system lets tape run at over 100 m per hour.
Grades for magnets and grids
Added nano-defects pin magnetic flux so the tape carries more current in strong fields, which fusion and high-field magnets need.
Builds its own equipment
The company designs and makes its production machines, which lets it add capacity faster than buying from outside suppliers.
