Shanghai Superconductor answers first IPO review round, citing tape current on par with leading rivals
Shanghai Superconductor Technology2G REBCO superconducting tape
Shanghai Superconductor published its replies to the exchange's first round of IPO questions, including a comparison with rival tape. At 77 K with no field its tape carries 110-250 A, above SuperPower's 80-160 A and in line with Faraday Factory Japan and Eastern Superconductor. In a strong field at 4.2 K its top figure sits below Faraday Factory Japan's 900 A and SuperPower's best.
- At 4.2 K in a 10 T field: 350-800 A.
- Tensile strength 600-700 MPa; product yield above 90%.
- Each core production machine makes about 16 km a month; 2024 capacity was 1,334 km.
