The brief
- Pioneer in low-carbon cement using waste from steel mills and coal plants.
- Dunkirk facility produces 300,000 tonnes/year, 70% lower CO2 than average European cement.
- €50 million facility is a JV with CB Green; €3.6 million from France 2030 programme.
Technical approach
Industrial byproducts replace clinker
Blast furnace slag (from steel mills) and fly ash (from coal plants) replace traditional clinker. No additional heating needed.
Same strength and durability as standard cement
ACT cement meets all concrete performance standards: compressive strength, durability, workability. No construction changes needed.
Works in existing cement mills
ACT is a blend design, not a new kiln or process. Uses existing infrastructure with no equipment changes.
