The brief
- 50,000+ BrainOS robots worldwide; deployments grew 68% year on year in the first half of 2026.
- The fleet logged 5.3 million autonomous hours in H1 2026. Tennant is the main machine partner; Walmart a key customer.
- Clean 2.0 (2026) lets scrubbers plan their own routes; scanning towers on the same robots audit store shelves.
Technical approach
Autonomy as a kit, not a new robot
Brain sells the software and sensor package to machine makers, who build it into scrubbers people already know how to buy and service.
Mapping busy public spaces
Cameras and range sensors let the machine build a map, locate itself and stop or steer around shoppers, carts and pallets.
Robots that also see shelves
Add-on camera towers turn cleaning runs into inventory scans, reporting gaps, misplaced items and price-label errors to store managers.
Cloud-run fleet
Every robot reports to Brain's cloud, which tracks coverage and uptime and pushes software updates across tens of thousands of machines.
