ZeroAvia completes a full flight-profile ground test of the ZA600 fuel-cell power generation system
ZeroAvia ran its ZA600 hydrogen-electric power generation system through a full simulated flight profile on the ground. The ZA600 uses low-temperature PEM fuel cells to convert hydrogen into electricity and power an electric motor; running the complete mission cycle is a step toward actual flight testing and certification of the hydrogen-electric powertrain.
- ZA600 uses low-temperature PEM fuel cells to generate electricity from hydrogen for aircraft propulsion.
- Full flight-profile ground test validated the entire power generation system through a complete mission cycle.
- Milestone paves the way for actual flight testing and powertrain certification.
- System designed for regional aviation; first operator RVL will use it on a Cessna Caravan freighter.
