Velo3D announces Sapphire XC 1MZ for metal parts up to 1 m tall

Velo3D announced Sapphire XC 1MZ, a metal laser powder-bed printer with a 600 millimetre diameter and 1 metre tall build area, driven by eight 1 kilowatt lasers, nine times the volume of the original Sapphire. Velo3D claimed up to 400 percent more throughput and 75 percent lower cost, with first deliveries to aerospace customers in late Q3 2022.
