Toyota Motor North America signs €2.02B cathode supply deal with LG Chem

Toyota Motor North America signed a long-term cathode materials supply contract with LG Chem worth €2.02 billion, running through 2030. Materials supply starts 2025 for Toyota's North Carolina battery plant.

• Supply covers ~600k–700k EV battery packs annually based on contract scale.
• First direct cathode supply from LG Chem to Toyota. Clarksville plant supplies Toyota's North Carolina battery facility.
• NCMA chemistry (high-nickel, manganese, aluminium, cobalt) supports EV range and supply chain resilience.
