Tesla expands unsupervised Robotaxi service to Dallas and Houston
Tesla expanded its Robotaxi service to Dallas and Houston with unsupervised rides in initially small geofenced areas, adding two Texas metros to its Austin deployment. Videos showed robotaxis with no one in the front seats.
- Dallas service area: trapezoid covering urban core and Park Cities, ~30-35 sq miles
- Houston service area: Northwest region (Jersey Village, Willowbrook), ~12-15 sq miles
- Unsupervised status: videos showed empty driver seats; may use hybrid supervised/unsupervised approach
- Expansion: Adds Dallas and Houston to existing Austin Robotaxi service
