Samsung SDI completed its 6,500-square-meter S-Line pilot production facility at the Suwon R&D center, marking the world's largest dedicated solid-state battery pilot line. The facility began prototype production in late 2023, testing sulfide-based electrolyte and silver-carbon anode processes ahead of commercial-scale manufacturing.
