Pasqal reports defect-free 1,024-atom arrays and about 40x longer atom lifetimes with a cryogenic platform

In its first-half 2026 results, Pasqal said it had prepared defect-free arrays of 1,024 atoms, double its previous 506, and made atoms last about 40 times longer by redesigning its cryogenic (ultra-cold) platform. Each atom is a qubit held by a laser beam; larger, gap-free arrays that survive longer allow bigger and longer computations.

  • Revenue for the half was €4.9M, up 14%; operating loss was €59.2M, including €37.5M of share-based and one-time charges.
  • Cash was €110.8M on June 30 and €312.9M on August 27 after the Nasdaq listing; booked and awarded business totals €70.4M.
  • Pasqal also trapped atoms using a photonic chip, with lifetimes of about 27.5 seconds and up to 50x smaller optics.
  • It has delivered a 200-qubit system in Saudi Arabia and a 140-qubit system in Italy; no financial guidance was given.
